The Saint-Ansgar's community was delighted to welcome back, for a return engagement after eight years, the Eagles Wings Choir from Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Naperville, Illinois. The host of vibrant young voices and able puppeteers delighted parishioners and guests as we hosted one of the two Montreal performances on this choir's 2010 ministry tour. After an hour of delightful singing and engaging musical puppet shows, topped off with a sing-along rendition of 'O Canada', for our benefit, we all had an opportunity to visit with the young students afterwards at a reception. They were only in town for the day, and we are very pleased that they chose to share their music with us. We await, in anticipation, their next visit.

About Eagles Wings
The Eagles Wings High School Choir, from Our Saviour's Lutheran Church In Naperville, IL Is in Its 22nd year. The choir, formed In fall, 1988 as part of the youth program, draws ft's members from seven area high schools and is made up of students In grades 9-12. The choir serves twice a month, leading the 10:10 a.m. worship service and holds as ft's mission statement "to provide a nurturing environment where students can grow in their faith and in friendships, serving with their God-given musical abilities." Eagles Wings has traveled to Colorado, New York Hilton Head, S.C., Minnesota, Nashville, TN, Boston, MA, North Carolina, Slovakia, and Canada on past tour/mission trips. Lynn Panosh, founder and director of Eagle's Wings, is the Director of Worship and the Arts at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. John (teed, accompanist, also serves as Associate Musician and organist.
Joining Eagle's Wings on their 2010 Ministry Tour, will be Hearts In Puppetry, a puppet ministry that proclaims the Gospel through puppets and music....all In clever and energetic skits. Directed by Kim Bfegaiski, Hearts in Puppetry presents original material and has delighted children and adults alike for seven years.

The theme for the 2010 Eagle's Wings/Hearts In Puppetry Ministry Tour Is "Light of the World" and will bring 51 members of the choir and puppet ministry to five states and Canada. The group will present concerts at churches and assisted living centers in Manitowoc, WI, Two Rivers, WI, Guelph, Ontario, Montreal, Quebec, Jericho, VT, Rochester,NY and Sandusky, Ohio. Repertoire for "Light of the World" Includes a mix of traditional sacred, Gospel and spirituals and contemporary songs by Tim Hughes, Kurt Carr, Chris Rice, Paul Baloche, Michael W. Smith, Matt Redman, and Chris Tomlin. ...all witnessing praise and thanksgiving to our Lord and Savior.
